Road Closures

From time to time, the City permits the temporary closure of a street to facilitate construction and maintenance activities, or to provide a safe environment for a community event. Requests for construction-related road closures are reviewed and approved by the Construction Inspection Division. Requests for event-related road closures are reviewed and approved by the Special Events Division.

  2. Swamp Rabbit Trail, linking Cleveland Park to Falls Park

    Beginning Tuesday, September 6, the section of the Swamp Rabbit Trail linking Cleveland Park to Falls Park will be temporarily closed during the next phase of construction of the Cancer Survivors Park. The boardwalk will remain open until mid-October, and will provide access to Falls Park via Church Street.   2. Spartanburg Street, from Ashmore to Mount Zion Avenue

    Closure to install a new sewer main under Spartanburg Street. If the work is completed earlier than anticipated, the road will reopen to traffic early.
