Greenville Police Youth Academy

The Greenville Police Department’s Youth Academy provides high school students and rising 9th graders with an inside look at local law enforcement. During this free one-week interactive program, students will see firsthand what it takes to be a police officer, explore career opportunities in law enforcement, and learn about the day-to-day operations of the Greenville Police Department. Participants will meet officers from a variety of GPD divisions, who will share their experience and provide valuable information designed to keep teens safe and ensure positive interactions with law enforcement.

The first Youth Academy was held in August 2016 at the Greenville Police Department Training Center.

A schedule for the 2017 Youth Academy will be available in the spring of 2017.
