Submitting An Event to the Community Calendar

All submissions will be reviewed before posting to the city's Community Calendar. The city has the discretion to determine which public events will be included in the calendar. The events should provide entertainment, food or other attractions to a diverse population, and promote the economic benefits of tourism or enhance the quality of life of the community. All events must be open to the general public (for free or cost), located within the City of Greenville and organized for non-profit purposes.

  1. 2017 Senior Prom presented by WellCare Health Plans

    May 19, 2017, 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM

    Join us for the 10th annual Senior Prom on Friday, May 19 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. The Senior Prom serves as the perfect backdrop to an evening of fellowship, music, food, and dancing. Tickets cost $25 for general admission and $35 for a reserved seat. The Senior Prom will be held at the TD Convention Center. Active Adults Senior Program: 864-467-4327

Road Closures

  1. Spartanburg Street, from Ashmore to Mount Zion Avenue

    April 28, 2017 - July 28, 2017

    Closure to install a new sewer main under Spartanburg Street. If the work is completed earlier than anticipated, the road will reopen to traffic early.

  2. Lane Shifts/Construction: 200 E. Washington Street Area

    May 4, 2017 - October 31, 2018 @ Affected streets include Spring Street, between E. Washington St. and E. McBee Ave.; and S. Irvine St., between E. Washington St. and E. McBee Ave.

    Due to the construction at 200 E. Washington St., Spring St. between E. Washington St and E. McBee Ave will have lane shifts with limited lane widths. Travel ways will be delineated with traffic barriers and posted signage. Drivers may enter and exit the Spring St Garage in either direction onto Spring St. S Irvine St between E. Washington St and E McBee Ave will be closed to thru traffic. Access to businesses on S. Irvine St at McBee will be open. US Marshals officials will be allowed to enter and exit S. Irvine St. at any time.

  3. Mills Avenue Road Closure

    May 15, 2017 - December 31, 2017 @ Mills Avenue, starting at Augusta Street and moving toward Henrydale Avenue.

    On Monday, May 15, Greenville Water and contractor Saluda Construction will begin a project to replace the water mains located under Mills Avenue, starting at Augusta Street and moving toward Henrydale Avenue. Construction is expected to last through the end of 2017 and there will be lane closures throughout the duration of the project, so please use caution when traveling in that area.

  4. Swamp Rabbit Trail, linking Cleveland Park to Falls Park: Reopening Delayed to June 10

    May 15, 2017 - June 10, 2017 @ Swamp Rabbit Trail, linking Cleveland Park to Falls Park

    Due to ongoing inclement weather, the re-opening of the section of Swamp Rabbit Trail linking Cleveland Park to Falls Park has been delayed until Saturday, June 10. Beginning June 10, the trail section will only be open on Saturdays and Sundays during regular park hours through the end of June. The trail section, which has been closed to facilitate the ongoing construction of the Cancer Survivors Park, is expected to fully re-open July 1.
